A Nepali festival to worship Machines
Yes, you heard me right. We worship machines. Personally, I believe it is a form of respect we show to things that supports life. In this day we talk to the machines and ask them for their support in the coming year. Of course, our products are hand made. The knitting and the most time consuming and beautiful works are done my hand. So what do we worship?- Washing machines, Industrial iron etc.
For us, Nepalese, worshipping day to day objects are very common. We have many festivals and this is our way to show our gratitude to the most common things in our life.
