Cashmere - The Beginning
So where did it all start?
Cashmere Pashmina was solely extracted, manufactured and handcrafted in Kashmir Valley from 16th to 19th century. The fiber was extracted from a goat fleece called as ‘Pashm’ (Farsi) and then woven into one of the finest and softest shawls. This art of hand making Cashmere Pashmina Shawls slowly spread across Nepal where Cashmere Pashmina goat Chyangra (Nepalese word for Pashm) is widely available.
